Kosovo joins UEFA

Kosovo joins UEFA


Kosovo is a member of UEFA since Tuesday, May 3rd.

The European football’s governing body has admitted Kosovo as its 55 member, AP reported. The result was expected as only 16 of the 54 members of UEFA have not recognized Kosovo’s independence.

In practice, this means that the Kosovar national team will be able to play against other national teams, even of nations that have not recognized its independence.
