NUR-SULTAN, Kazakhstan – Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud phoned Kazakh President Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev on 2 July with the latter noting Kazakhstan’s support for the extension of the OPEC+ oil production cut agreement, Akorda reported.

“Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev informed the Saudi King about Kazakhstan’s support for the Saudi initiative to extend the duration of the OPEC+ agreement until the end of the year. The agreement provides for a reduction in oil production in key hydrocarbon producing countries,” a statement from Kazakhstan president’s office read.

Kazakhstan’s President and the Saudi King also expressed their readiness for further development of bilateral cooperation and meet at the highest political level.
