The President of the European Commission has sent the entire staff of the institution a communication, expressing his regret at the outcome of the UK referendum, and reassuring UK nationals working for the Commission, who he referred to as having "always been loyal to our Union," that they have nothing to fear.
"This result makes me personally very sad – but I respect their choice," the President wrote.
As regards the UK nationals in the staff, Juncker wrote that:
