The Japanese economy fell into recession in the July - September period, but governmental officials expressed confidence that growth will surely return.
The Japanese economy shrank by 0.2 percent according to the state officials, after a 0.1 decline in the previous quarter. The contraction was 0.1 percent more compared with the market expectations. According to a Bloomberg survey, the market expected a 0.1 percent contraction in the July – September period.
