He will soon be out… On 01 October, Croatia’s Supreme Court ordered a retrial of former Croatian prime minister Ivo Sanader and annulled his 2014 conviction for rigging public tenders and abusing state funds. Sanader was sentenced to nine years in prison in March last year, but can now leave on a bail of 12.4 million kuna (1 million euros) after the court ruled that procedural errors had affected his right to a fair trial.
