An overwhelming majority of Italians wants to keep the Euro (65%), but only a minority would like to stay in the EU (43%), according to a Eurobarometer survey published on October 17.

On average, 68% of Europeans believe they benefit from EU membership. But, only 44% of Italians would vote to remain in the bloc in a referendum on EU membership according to a Kantar Public published in September.

Italy is now more Eurosceptic than the UK, where 53% are in favour of remaining, according to the latest poll.
