Ireland will assume the Presidency of the Council of the European Union on 1 January 2013. On that occasion, the country launched today its Presidency website eu2013.ie.
In the period January-June 2013, the European Union will see Ireland’s seventh presidency period after the Presidencies in 2004, 1996, 1990, 1984, 1979 and 1975.
