Iran needs foreign financing for exploration, production and transmission, NIGEC Director tells New Europe


THESSALONIKI – Iran wants to use Southeast Europe as a corridor for its gas exports to Western European countries, the Director of International Affairs of National Iranian Gas Exports Company told New Europe.

“Our capacity will increase to 1.2 billion cubic metres per day during next five years. So we have enough gas for export,” Azizollah Ramazani said on the sidelines of 9th Southeast Europe Energy Dialogue, organised by IENE in Thessaloniki on June 30.
