Indian minister says women are sold like products in retails shops in Gulf States

According to the Indian Express, it is estimated that close to six million Indian economic migrants are now in the six Gulf states of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Oman.

Indian women are sold in retail shops for some thousands of dollar to interested buyers in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, according to Sri Palle Raghunatha Reddy.

Reddy is a Minister in the Indian State Government of Andhra Pradesh and send a letter to the Indian Foreign Affairs Ministry on 24 May asking from the authorities to bring back the women in need.
