Hungary shopping for Russian helicopters despite sanctions


Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Moscow in February to discuss a deal involving the sale of 30 Russian helicopters.

As reported by the online news site Defense News, the contract is worth up to $490m, according to local media. Also, it could pave the way for further military procurements to the Hungarian Armed Forces by Russia’s predominantly state-owned defence industry.
