Following the UN climate change talks in Durban, I was left with a sense of hope yet also one of trepidation.  Yes, an agreement was concluded, but there was no legally binding document that would take effect immediately.  Everything was still left a bit in the air, and the words of Hungarian-British inventor Dennis Gabor lingered in my head: “Till now man has been up against Nature; from now on he will be up against his own nature.”
