The Hubs of Competence have a strong experience in the promotion of a new Agenda for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Innovation and entrepreneurship will increasingly be the new enabler of competitiveness in Europe; it is essential to mobilise the universities, companies, and other actors to the challenge of competitiveness.

The experience of the Hubs of Competence has become more consolidated and in a time of crisis there is a real possibility of having new results with concrete results.

The Hubs of Competence put in collaboration Education, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship and offer new solutions to different problems. The Hubs of Competence experience is very important to Europe, as Europe must be able to be the real hub of a more entrepreneurial society and centred on new areas of knowledge and new sectors of value.

That´s why the example of these hubs – with their focus on high-added value clusters like ICT and Fashion, among others – involving strong partnerships with multinationals and start ups as well as the local authorities, is a good demonstration of the new strategic partnership for the future.

The Hubs of Competence promote a new set of studies oriented towards the real added value of companies in the market, supported by the strategic knowledge and experience of managers and doctorates from the universities. The focus on innovation and knowledge as the drivers of creating added value with international dissemination is a challenge for the Hubs of Competence.

Some Platforms have been developing strong strategic networks of Knowledge with different areas of the world, including Asia and South America. The experience of the Hubs of Competence must be a point of departure for the future.  The quality of an effective education must be the new competitive advantage of these intelligent universities, pushed by a global idea of modernity, added value, and excellence. A very clear idea that suits a major challenge that our society really faces and that requires new answers for different questions. The act of global participation in such a demanding society is an exercise of commitment between the individual creativity and the collective cooperation.

The practical collaboration of relevant firms and universities as centres of innovation in the strategic ambition of the Hubs of Competence is exemplified by certain experiences – with a commitment to innovation, quality, and creativity. This distinction will be the right platform for a different individual and collective integration of ideas and solutions. The Hubs of Competence play an intelligent commitment between a local role and a global ambition.

The experience of these Hubs of Competence is a major challenge foe our economies and societies. Their experience is an important contribution to a society to better understand this new era and address effective answers to the different stakeholders of the system. The contribution of the Hubs of Competence will be more important and critical as this message is clearly understood by the main stakeholders involved in the process.
