Crude oil prices were steady last Friday as traders were closely monitoring the fighting in the Middle East and following comments by the US Federal Reserve chief that surging energy prices are crimping economic growth.
Light sweet crude for September delivery was at USD 74.15 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. September Brent on London’s ICE Futures exchange was at USD 74.33 per barrel.
