The international coordinating body of Greenpeace, a non-governmental environmental organisation with offices around the world, has warned that its office in India is in danger of closing in less than a month.
In a statement posted on Greenpeace International’s website on May 6, the group explains how all funds coming from Greenpeace’s international office where frozen in June 2014. Last month, the Indian government froze most of the group’s domestic bank accounts.
