Greece not taking Britain to court over the Elgin Marbles


Greece's new Minister of Culture, Nikos Xydakis, rejected the advice of barrister Amal Clooney of the Doughty Street Chambers, a London based firm and will not be taking legal action against Britain. Apparently, Mrs. Clooney’s 150 page report, making the legal case that Greece should take Britain to the International Criminal Court, did not convince the new administration of its chances for success. Presumably, Greece prefers to continue with an open ended diplomatic campaign than risk a negativ...
