Greece: Disused Olympic 2004 venue will house migrants and refugees


Greek authorities are making more refugee camps in Athens to deal with the refugee crisis and besides the Olympic venues, a former military camp will also be revamped to house refugees

As Greek authorities struggle to accommodate all the refugees entered Greece, they decided to transform a number of unused buildings into refugee camps.

A disused Olympic venue was reopened to house migrants and refugees camped out in central Athens. According to the Associated Press (AP), police on Thursday escorted buses carrying about 500 people, mostly from Syria and Afghanistan, from Victoria Square in central Athens to Galatsi Olympic Hall.
