Google expands empire: opening new data centre in Dublin


Internet giant Google is to open a new data centre in Dublin to run its search engine, Gmail and Google Maps services.

This means, Google will now bring its technology operations to Ireland. At the moment, the company employs some 2,000 people already in Ireland mostly in sales and marketing roles.
