With hundreds of thousands of refugees on the move, the foreign ministers of Germany, France and Italy, in a joint letter on Wednesday, called for a need for the "fair distribution of refugees" throughout the EU. The letter was addressed to the chief of EU's foreign policy, Federica Mogherni, as a contribution to the informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg on Friday and Saturday.
