German President Joachim Gauck acknowledged his country’s atrocities during World War Two, but refused to discuss reparation payments with Greece.
The German President, who is in Greece on a three-day visit, yesterday, Thursday, met with his Greek counterpart, Carolos Papoulias. Following the meeting, Gauck acknowledged the Nazis’ atrocities against the Greeks and offered to set up a new "Future Fund" to remind Germans of their past.
