Georgia moves towards 100% hydroelectric power production


Georgia is one of the two South Caucasus states, along with Azerbaijan, that are close to securing complete self-sufficiency in electricity production.

With over 25,000 streams and rivers, Georgia has reached 90% autonomy in electricity production and is has only reached but 20% of its actual capacity. In sum, Georgia is one of the few developing countries in Europe that are approaching a 100% sustainable and eco-friendly electricity production.
