Russian gas giant OAO Gazprom hopes to reach an agreement in 2006 on supplies of liquefied natural gas to the US in the mid-tern future, Gazprom Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev said at an energy forum in Moscow. He said the Russian company carried out its first supplies of LNG in 2005, which were exchanged for Gazprom pipeline gas - two gas tankers were shipped.
