Spain’s Gas Natural announced last Wednesday it had increased its net profit by 16.7 percent to 749 million Euro amid expectation that it would raise its takeover bid for the country’s biggest electricity company Endesa.
Gas Natural attributed the rise in its profits to factors including the sale of a stake in the company Enagas and increased activity in the Spanish and Latin American energy sectors.
