European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker met Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau on the sidelines of G20 leaders Summit in Hamburg Germany. The two discussed several issues including trade, agreeing to set the date of 21 September 2017 to start the provisional application of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) that was signed by the EU and Canada on 30 October 2016 in Brussels.
