France\s unemployment rate fell to its lowest level since the beginning of 2009, according to a report by the French Statistical Service on February 14.
The drop came despite the violent Yellow Vest demonstrations in November and decelerating growth in the Eurozone.
Labour Minister Muriel Penicaud made clear that President Emmanuel Macron remains committed to reducing unemployment to 7% by the end of his first term in 2022.
