France and Germany are to send more troops in Mali in order to support forces that have been deployed in the country for almost a year now.
In a joint statement, France and Germany said that the new troops to be sent to Mali will integrate with a European mission to train soldiers. This mission was launched in February last year and has already trained nearly 3,000 Malian forces.
