Formal Middle East peace conference set for Friday in France


France pressured bot Israel and the Palestinian Authority into accepting to take part in an international conference in Paris on Friday 03 June, in order to symbolically relaunch peace talks between Palestinians and Israelis.

The Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas said that if the upcoming Paris conference succeeds in relaunching the long-stalled Palestinian-Israeli negotiations, it should also set a time cap and mechanisms to implement their resolutions.
