Fighting Yemeni parties agreed that a need for a humanitarian ceasefire in Yemen is needed as the citizens of the impoverished Middle East country are struggling to survive.

Reuters reported that a delegate to the UN-brokered Yemen talks said that the warring parties have agreed on the need for a ceasefire but the details remain under discussion. Ghaleb Al-Mutlak, from the south Yemeni separatist Herak movement, said the proposed ceasefire would run for one month.
