Fast loans burdening the poor with debt


A rapidly expanding loan market and door-step sales tactics in the Czech Republic are burdening poor families with heavy debt, a report said last Thursday. In one town, a psychiatrist told the online journal Aktualne.cz that his mental hospital now treats about 500 people a year for debt- related stress and depression.
