European Commission estimates predict further economic problems for the European Union in the coming year.
According to the latest Spring forecast, released on 3 May, the economy will continue to shrink in the next twelve months. According to estimates, GDP output is set to decline by around 0.1% in the next year, with a 0.4% fall in the euro area forecast.
Unemployment figures are similarly poor. According to the commission, growth is currently too slow to redress the situation...
