The European Commission has taken the next steps in the 2019 cycle of the European Semester of economic policy coordination, which are presented in the 2019 Spring Package, by the Commission’s Vice-President for the Euro and Social Dialogue Valdis Dombrovskis , Commissioner for Employment and Social Affairs Marianne Thyssen and Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici.
The country-specific recommendations provide tailored advice to national authorities on how to boost jobs, growth and investment, while maintaining sound public finances. The Commission publishes them every spring. This years’ country-specific recommendations include a focus on regional and territorial disparities as well as investments.
