The European Commission has allocated €24.3 million to seven different countries through the European Globalisation adjustment Fund (EGF), to help targeted unemployed workers find new jobs. 

The payments are designed to help 5,271 workers in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Romania, Spain and Sweden with retraining and advice, after being dismissed due to company restructuring.
