European Council promotes use of cleaner marine fuels


The Council of the European Union announced today the amendment of the directive regarding the sulphur content of marine fuels. The new directive aims to reduce emissions from shipping that increase air pollution due to their high sulphur content, as well as to protect human health and the environment.
