Europe studies its “Social Reality”


The European Commission has launched a European-wide study to try to estimate the current social well-being of its citizens. The research is based on a consultation paper, a Eurobarometer poll and a website. A poll at the end of 2006 showed that on average in the 25 countries of the Union, 86 percent of the citizens consider themselves relatively satisfied with their professional and social life, 83 percent are satisfied with their standard of living, 78 percent with their travel facilities and ...
