EU set to launch talks on new agreement with Ukraine


The European Commission on March 2 said it was about to start negotiations on a new cooperation deal with Ukraine in a bid to draw the European Union-hopeful closer to the bloc. EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner and Ukraine's deputy foreign minister Andrei Veselovsky will kick off the talks this Monday, the commission said.
