A surplus of 31.4 billion euro (1.0% of GDP) was observed in the third quarter of 2013 in the EU28 seasonally adjusted external current account, down from a surplus of 46.3 bn (1.4% of GDP) in the second quarter of 2013, according to Eurostat findings.
