EU finance ministers want no more tax avoidance by big companies


European Union finance ministers decided on Tuesday that their countries will exchange information on the tax affairs of multinational companies.

The ministers arrived at a political agreement on the proposed amendment to the directive on mandatory exchange of information in the field of taxation. The amendment introduces a requirement for the member states to exchange tax-related information on the activities of multinational companies.
