The crisis in the Ukrainian and the possibility of the country splitting in half has raised the inevitable question: Is the European Union facing a deadlock?

Of course, the Ukraine is not a member of the EU. It is, however, a country in Europe and one that the EU would like to welcome into its club. 

Most importantly, however, the crisis in the Ukraine is not the only problem facing the EU. There are other just as crucial issues that could have a major impact on its future.
