EU-Egypt Association Agreement subcommittee concludes 6th session

The Subcommittee on Political matters, Human Rights and Democracy- International and Regional Issues of the Association Agreement between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the European Union held its sixth session at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo on 23-24 June.
The meeting was co-chaired by Ambassador Raouf Saad, Chairman of the National Bureau for the Implementation of the Association Agreement, and Colin Scicluna, Deputy Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa, from the European External Action Service.
Both sides discussed bilateral relations, as well as regional issues, including the Middle East Peace Process, the situation in the Arab region, Syria, Libya, peace and security in Africa, and emphasized the importance of further dialogue and cooperation.
