The Council has today requested the EU drugs agency (EMCDDA) to launch a scientific investigation into the health and social risks of four new drugs. Following reports by Member States of harmful effects related to four new substances — 25I-NBOMe, AH-7921, MDPV and methoxetamine- the EMCDDA Scientific Committee will conduct formal risk assessments.
