EU Commission urged to avoid Japanese cars


Austrian Economics Minister Martin Bartenstein has criticised plans by EU Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas to buy an environmentally-friendly Japanese hybrid car. Bartenstein said it was more important to protect the European car industry than to have an eco-friendly car, the Austrian Press Agency reported.
