End of hearings in The Hague UN court on Ukraine vs. Russia


The International Court of Justice  (ICJ) of the United Nations in The Hague completed hearings on the suit of Ukraine against Russia on the application on preventive measures against the Russian Federation upon the request of Kiev.

Ukraine launched the case at the International Court of Justice, which handles disputes between states, in January.

ICJ judges hear disputes between states, and cases can take years to pass through the court.
