The European Investment Bank will further support development of water supply and sewers systems in Serbia with a new grant to local municipalities worth €10 million.
The grant is the first signed in Serbia under the Economic Resilience Initiative and the Municipal Infrastructure Resilience Framework, and the biggest grant signed to date in the Western Balkans.
EIB representatives signed another technical assistance grant with Serbia worth €2.7 million to support inland waterway network in Serbia on Danube and Sava Rivers.
The grants will improve access to drinking water, sanitation and living conditions for 600.000 people and will reduce pollution across the country.
