Ireland’s Royal College of Surgeons, RCSI, has announced on 11 October a €40m second loan agreement with the European Investment Bank, for the next stage of the development of RCSI’s city centre medical campus in Dublin.
RCSI is an international not-for-profit health sciences institution, focused on education and research to drive improvements in human health worldwide. It is ranked among the top 250 (top 2%) of universities worldwide in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2020.
The €90 million redevelopment of Block A of the Ardilaun Centre will provide enhanced research and student facilities.
This investment represents EIB’s second loan to RCSI in less than three years and follows recent support for campus investment at every university in Ireland.
