Egypt’s highest court has ordered that the country's Islamist-dominated parliament be dissolved because was elected illegally and interim military rulers plan to announce a 100-person assembly to write a new constitution.
The court also ruled that Ahmed Shafik, Hosni Mubarak's last prime minister, could remain in the presidential race. State media reported that military rulers have said the presidential runoff would still take place over the weekend.
