ECR: Russia frees Ukrainian pilot Savchenko

ECR: Russia frees Ukrainian pilot Savchenko


Mark Demesmaeker, a member of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Group in the European Parliament and coordinator on human rights, has hailed news of the release of Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko who was being held in a Russian prison.

Local media confirmed that Savchenko is being swapped for the two Russian prisoners, Yevgeny Yerofeyev and Alexander Alexandrov, who are being held by Ukraine.
