The European Investment Fund has signed guarantee agreements to provide financing to small and medium businesses in Portugal and Sweden.
The first is with Caixa Geral de Depósitos under the COSME programme, providing €200 million in loans to 5,600 Portuguese companies, while the second is with DBT Företagslån under the InnovFin programme to mobilise €80 million in finance to Swedish SMEs and mid-cap companies.
The agreements benefit from the support of the European Fund for Strategic Investments, the heart of the Investment Plan for Europe, the Juncker Plan.
