Dutch MPs back the establishment of different centers for Christian and gay refugees

Junior justice minister Klaas Dijkhoff, has repeatedly said that separate refugee shelters go against the Dutch values such as equality.

The motion was promoted by the opposition liberal democratic party, D66, and the Dutch coalition government is divided over the proposal.


The Dutch government may establish different accommodation centers for gay and Christian refugees, according to a report by the Dutch News website.

Dutch News cited a report by the Dutch daily, The Telegraaf, which reported that on Tuesday, the Dutch MPs voted in favor of the motion promoted by the liberal democratic party, D66, which is not a part of the government.
