Dow Chemical: Antitrust trial begun


On 16 January, Dow Chemical went to trial in Kansas City federal court for antitrust allegations.  The trial is expected to last until the end of February.  

The company is being accused for taking part in a conspiracy to fix prices of chemicals used in the production of foam products. The lawsuit reports that Dow Chemical along with its competitors fixed the prices of certain urethane products from 1999 to 2003, when the market was in crisis.
