According to the newest infographic developed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Europe and Central Asia, only 12% of domestic violence cases in Montenegro were reported.
The main reasons were low trust in institutions and, in particular, fear among women of revenge because of inadequate protection from institutions.
In addition, the infographic shows that 76% of the victims of domestic violence in Montenegro were women, while 97% of the perpetrators-men.
