Defence: MEPs urge member states to show political will and join forces


EU member states should show the political will to join forces and boost national defence spending to 2% of GDP, says MEPs, adopting a draft resolution on Thursday 16 March.

This is in line with the NATO requirements that member states spend 2% of GDP on defence.
